Advancement Operations is this foundation, serving as a strategic partner responsible for a wide range of functions that help ensure the success of both the Alumni Relations and Development teams. By leveraging data-driven insights, broad expertise and innovative solutions, we advise on the best ways to engage stakeholders and where our efforts will have the most impact. And through technology, finance, prospect management and human resource support, our team empowers the entire division to succeed in their individual roles and as a cohesive unit.

The Advancement Operations team plays a pivotal role in propelling the Western Advancement’s ambitious goals forward.

Our Services

Manage gift processing, including timely donor acknowledgement, pledge reminders and receipting

Inform decision-making and strategy through data governance, analytics and “data storytelling”

Manage the prospective donor pipeline by leveraging strategic research and reliable, high-quality data

Support technology and IT needs, including Western Advancement’s CRM (client relationship management) system and websites

Provide robust human resources support, including recruitment, onboarding and talent development
