Mapping Shared and Personal Drives

To map drives, you must have an active connection via Pulse Secure to WROAMs

Staff who normally use a laptop may not need to follow the instructions to map drive(s). Check either the folder icon or the Finder icon for confirmation prior to mapping the drive(s).

For PC / Windows Users:

  1. Click on the folder icon in the taskbar on your pc
  2. Choose This PC in the options provided on the left hand side of the page
  3. Choose Computer (tab beside File)
  4. Click Map network drive
  5. Choose a drive letter from the Drive: dropdown menu (for simplicity you can choose W: and H:
  6. Drives will need to be mapped separately
  7. Enter the share path in the Folder: field
    • W: drive path is: \\walter.uwo.pri\extwork$\
    • H: drive path is: \\walter.uwo.pri\exthome$\”your user ID”
  8. Uncheck the Reconnect at sign in box
  9. Check the Connect using different credentials box
  10. Click Finish
  11. Enter your Western User ID (uwo\userid) and Password. Your user name needs to be preceded by uwo\

For Mac Users:

  1. Open Finder MAC Icon
  2. On the top menu, click on GO
  3. Click Connect to Sever
  4. Type in smb://walter.uwo.pri/extwork$/
  5. On the top menu, click on GO
  6. Click Connect to Sever
  7. Type in smb://walter.uwo.pri/exthome$/
